I formed Edens Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. after being the General Manager for two large Atlanta Heating and Air Conditioning Companies. I worked for one 12 years and the other for 10 years. When the economy slowed down the latter part of 2008, I found that when you work for a family owned and operated company, family is the last to be cut. I understand the economics of business and I still have a great relationship with both companies. But I decided that I would take my savings and set up a company ran the way I know it should be. I would price my services to make a profit for myself, pay for training and quality tools, and provide a stable work environment for employees.
With the slowdown in the economy a lot of quality personnel were let go through no fault of their own and it has really been a great time to find trained employee’s. I am getting references from their former employer’s like “I really hated to let him go and he definitely would be eligible for rehire if I was hiring”. After making the decision to start up my own firm I started to call it Lemonade Heating and Air Conditioning because even though it seemed like a bad time to start one I have found that the quality of personnel out there available has been unmatched in many years, and manufactures and suppliers are looking for quality run companies to do business with. After over thirty years in the business I have developed many lasting friendships both external clients and internal clients.
